Pelgen Tunes 3

This new, third volume of the Pelgen Tunes, again contains 80, mostly polyphonic original compositions by Christoph Pelgen, written between October 2016 and September 2019. Eighty great new melodies, often created in the run-up to his popular workshops.

Impressive is the musical diversity of his compositions, many of which are now part of the fixed session repertoire and some of which have even become popular. All over Europe his tunes are played with enthusiasm in many different formations. They are not only suitable for the typical drone instruments bagpipes and hurdy-gurdy, but can be played on all kinds of instruments - from accordion to double bass.

Those who play his tunes are called upon to find their own interpretations and arrangements. Nothing is set in stone. The writings are snapshots and the second and third parts are often adapted to the limited range of the bagpipes.
